Marion was the second oldest of seven children of Luther and Louise (Pinckney) Polite. He was born on September 17, 1909 in Garnett, SC. Marion married Lille Mae in 1933. They had twelve children: Gladys (Polite) Parker (deceased); Zelda Mae (Polite) Grant (deceased); Marion Polite, Jr.; Bernice (Polite) Brantley (deceased); Katie (Polite) Thomas (deceased); Willie Polite (deceased); Charles Polite, Robert Polite, Daisy Polite (deceased); Eunice Polite (deceased); Barbara (Polite) Callender; and Nathaniel Polite. 

Luther was the sixth of seven children of Luther and Louise (Pinckney) Polite. He was born July 17, 1921 in Garnett, SC. Luther married Etta Lou Pollins in 1948. They had five children: Larry Polite, Sandra (Polite) Orr, Eleanor Deloris (Polite) Hazel, Martin Luther Polite (deceased), and Roslyn Evette (Polite) Woods. Luther also had two other children; an older daughter, Addie Housey Hamilton and a son, Ronnie Housey (deceased). 

Neaner was the oldest of seven children of Luther and Louise (Pinckney) Polite. She was married to William Thompson, Sr and had 12 children: Clarence Thompson (deceased), James Thompson (deceased), Katie Thompson (deceased), William Thompson, Jr (deceased), Luther Thompson (deceased), Marion Thompson, Berdie Richardson, Franklin Thompson (deceased), Shirley Whitfield, Johnny Thompson, Delores Williams, and Ulysses Thompson (deceased).
